Benefits Package

Aegis Living is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees. We continually evaluate our benefit offerings to ensure that we remain competitive – not only with other companies in our industry, but also with other companies in the communities in which we live and work. Our employees have the choice between two medical plans, dental plan and vision plan for their healthcare needs. Aegis shares in the cost for dependent coverage. We also offer flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan through American Funds.

Unusual Perks

  • $1 Meals – In recognition of our employees’ busy lives, we offer meals for $1 thru the employee’s respective community. This benefit is offered to every employee and is also available for any family member at the same cost.


  • Educational Assistance – Aegis is committed to providing a supportive work environment where employees can acquire the tools and skills necessary for success in their jobs thru on-the-job experiences and educational opportunities. Our Educational Assistance Program will reimburse employees for tuition expenses, up to a certain amount, that can be directly related to a career path at Aegis.


  • Employee Bonus – We offer an opportunity for employees to share in the success of their community. If the community exceeds its financial goal for the quarter, then a certain percent of that money is allocated back to the employees in recognition of this achievement in the process of delivering excellent service and care to our residents.


  • Dream Big Vacation/Cash Lottery Drawing – Ever win the lottery? No? Want to? Don’t give up on your dreams! Twice a year we hold a cash lottery and a vacation giveaway for our longer-term employees. This offers us a unique way to recognize their loyalty, commitment to the company and the value they add to our residents’ lives. There is a minimum requirement for years of service to be eligible for the drawings. Prizes range from $50,000 to 10 luxury trips. See how it works!

Employee Recognition

Our employee recognition program includes tuition assistance, a home mortgage discount program, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and appreciation days. Appreciation days are time that an employee earns through tenure; these days off are in appreciation for all of the wonderful things that our employees do. We also have an innovation program that allows our employees to make a unique difference in the company thru their suggestions.

Fun Committee

We know how important it is to love where you work. Our fun committees at each community were developed to nurture and foster fun at work. We have set this precedent with events such as international potlucks, pizza parties and movie screenings. The only limitation is imagination.


During Winterfest, our corporate office resembles a department store. Over the course of a day, staff come in and “shop” for items donated and purchased by the company for them. Hundreds of Aegis Living employees are provided with free clothing, toys and new shoes.

Potato Soup Foundation

potato_soup_th1Dwayne Clark and Aegis established the Potato Soup Foundation with the principal purpose of helping Aegis Staff and their families in extreme times of need. The foundation has helped people with emergency medical treatment, emergency housing, funeral expenses and variety of other crisis situations.
